December 2021, I attended Rebootcamp with a senior friend (Dr Sarah) who had a mutual friend (Adesewa) with Ayomide. Almost throughout the camp meeting, we sat around the same area.

Nothing much happened except a few moments when we glanced at each other during the long prayer times. Lol.  During one of the break times, we finally had time to talk. I remember It was a loooong, sweet conversation that I didn’t want to end.

Later, on the last night of the camp meeting when Adesewa was going to drop us off at our hotel, I expected Ayo to ask for my contact but he didn’t 😂. I had to summon all the courage in me to ask him for his contact cuz, yunno, I knew we might not have the opportunity to meet again and Thank God I did!! 😂🤭 I’d say it was a Kairos moment #Iykyk

After Rebootcamp, we kept in touch although then it was more of a ‘reel-ationship’ as we kept sending each other funny reels on IG. 😂 I started it tho because, why not? My close friends can attest to the fact that I send them reels a lot.

I subsequently developed some sort of fondness for him and I found myself scrolling through his instagram page over and over again but I had to caution myself not to be too emotionally attached to save myself from ‘situationship’ Lol.

Fast forward to June 2022 after I passed my final medical school exams, he congratulated me and I noticed he started reaching out more frequently, we would spend longer time on phone calls. Ayo was shining green light left, right and center 😂

Then, he offered to celebrate my success with me by taking me out on a date to the beach in Lagos (I had wanted to go to the beach for the longest time). It was a sweet moment, we had lots of fun and conversations that further multiplied all the butterflies in my belly 😂  I kept praying that God’s will be done.

Not long after then, he asked me to be in a relationship with him and honestly, it wasn’t a difficult decision to make. I was already convinced in my heart that it’s the Lord’s doing.

God made everything align so perfectly right from the day we met. Ladies and Gentlemen... here we are about to wed.

One extra story for those that like gist😂 Ayo is a thoughtful guy!!! He is so good at planning surprises. Our relationship was just about two weeks old and Ayo made a BIG MOVE.  He traveled all the way from Lagos to Iwo, Osun State, to surprise me on my induction day!!!! after he had told me he won't be able to come.

I couldn’t believe it. I was sooo happpyyyyyyyy to see him. That experience meant a whole lot to me and further solidified my confidence that he really, truly loves me and he’s serious. 🤭

It’s been 17 beautiful months with Ayomide and I can’t wait for forever.
