Our story is pretty much a SoliDeoGloria testimony. Lol.

We met at the annual camp meeting of our church (Celebration Church) in December 2021.  

I had seen her sitting initially with some friends in one of the sessions of the meeting. I just noticed us catching glances a number of times, and I just thought to myself that “why is this girl looking at me” 😂. She saw fine boy and couldn’t resist. Lol.  

We didn’t get to talk however, until one of the breaks where I wanted to get food and surprisingly saw her on the queue. I said hello, introduced myself and we got talking. 

One interesting thing was that our conversation clicked from the very first moment. What I expected to have been a moment of just “hello” became a long conversation we struggled to stop when the evening session was to begin.

Everything I did was just out of a plain mind and I didn’t have any ulterior motive at the time - even though a major prayer point and part of my expectation was clarity with regard to making a relationship decision.  

Fast forward to after Reboot camp, we just kept in touch and sent memes and reels to each other on IG. All these while, it didn’t even come to my consciousness that a relationship could brew between the two of us. 

However, in June 2022, I saw a picture of Irebami and I felt a stirring in my spirit that “that’s your wife, go for it now”. It was like an epiphany. My eyes literally was opened. I knew at that point that I needed to registered a strong presence than before.  

I decided to post the picture on my status to celebrate her, and immediately I did that 2 of my dear friends reached out, asking me “how about this lady nah” 😅. I just smiled knowing what my intention is and planning my next line of actions.  

As a sharp guy, I reached out more and invited her for a beach hangout. We went to the beach, had a great time and spent even longer hours talking. My plan was to gain more understanding of who she was, her values system, decision patterns, plans for the future, and of course to discern if she was single. Lol.  

That beach episode was such a beautiful and eventful experience that we won’t forget in a long time. After that date, I knew I was going to ask her out. I did after some days after and she responded in the affirmative after some days as well. ☺️😊 

Ever since it’s been a beautiful and blissful journey, even beyond my expectations. And today, it’s a few weeks to our wedding. God is faithful.
